This week in our Numeracy we have been looking at number sequences and counting in 2’s 3’s and 5’s and looking at odd and even numbers! We have done this using the computers and outside on our number lines. In our Literacy we have been looking at Non – Fiction texts to go with our Geography and enquiry question – ”What makes our world a wonderful place?”
We went into the library and looked at fiction and non fiction books and thought of some questions we might want to find out!! Tomorrow we are going on our school trip with the whole of Year 1 – There are 66 of us going to have fun working on a Maths Trail at Blackburn Rovers!! We will post up pictures of our day so you can see what fun we all had!!

What makes your area beautiful? This is our enquiry question for this half term. We would like to see where everyone who visits our blog is from and for them to tell us what is so beautiful about their area……..Mrs Miller lives in the Ribble Valley and she loves all the hills and fields that are near to her. She goes on lot’s of walks in the countryside especially around Beacon Fell, you can see it in the picture below. Our school is situated quite high up in Blackburn. We have lovely trees in our grounds and a park near by. If you look close enough you can see Blackburn Rovers just below us……..Mrs Miller doesn’t look too hard because she supports Preston North End!! We also have Witton Park nearby its a fantastic park with lots of wildlife and trees and a fantastic new play park……….Come back to see what we’ve finding out about our beautiful area of the world!
